Frassati Fest is a high school retreat put on by the Diocese of Madison that brings together 350+ teens from across the Diocese to grow in faith and community together! Each February, parishes around the Diocese bring teens to our very own Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells to hear inspiring talks, attend Mass and Adoration and Confession, and even spend some time in the waterpark! We would love for your high school teen to join us!
When is it?
Frassati Fest will be at the Kalahari on Friday February 7th - Sunday, February 9th. It will start Friday evening around 7PM and will end Sunday around Noon. As the weekend gets closer, I will send more details about timing and the schedule.
What is the cost?
Because of the hotel and food costs among other things, the total per person for the event comes out to about $300. We are going to host an event this winter that will hopefully offset these costs so that hopefully it won't cost that much per person. We are asking for a $150 non-refundable deposit with the paperwork turned in NO LATER THAN Friday, December 20th. We will be able to let you know your final cost after the event in January.
If your child is interested in attending, please print and return this paperwork to the St. Cecilia's office or you could turn it in to another member of our faith formation team. If you are writing a check, please write the check out to St. Cecilia's.
In addition to participating with your family in our Family of Faith model each month, I am so excited to share with you another opportunity that we will have for your students that are in middle school and high school!
You are still the primary catechists for your children, but we believe it is an important time in their lives to be investing in a community with their peers as well as a time to dive deeper into the Catholic faith.
WEEKLY YOUTH NIGHTS
This year, in a combined effort across our pastorate, we are going to be offering (mostly) weekly youth nights for your middle school and high school teens. There will be a mix of games and activities, talks, opportunities for prayer and small group discussion, and plenty of food!
These nights will all be happening at St. Cecilia’s from 7:15 - 8:30 p.m. most Wednesday evenings. We will start each evening with food together, but because our hope is that your children grow in intentional community with peers of their own age, the middle school students and high school students will then split for the remainder of the evening before we all join back in the church for prayer to close the night.
