What is Love Begins Here?
- Love Begins Here (LBH) provides middle and high school youth with an opportunity to encounter Jesus Christ in a life changing way through week long, local mission trips where they live in Catholic community and continue his work on earth.
  
  Love Begins Here is modeled after St. Teresa of Calcutta, Mother Teresa, and her great service to the poor in India. When accepting her nobel peace prize, she spoke of the poor around the world - not just in third world countries, but in our own homes.
  
  We are signing up teen missionaries!
  On Love Begins Here, whether you are a teen or an adult, we call all participants missionaries. This signifies the work that we are doing 'on the mission field' to serve our local neighbors in need.

  Middle School | June 16-19 - $160
  If your child is a current middle school student (currently in 6-8 grade) they can sign up to attend a middle school week. JPII pastorate will be going to Cross Plains, Wisconsin (near Middleton) from June 16 - June 19.
  
  When registering online, this is referred to as MS1.
  High School | July 13-18 - $220
  If your child is a current high school student (currently in 9-12 grade) they can sign up for a high school week. Our pastorate is hosting this at St. Cecilia's, July 13 - July 18, so this is when our teens have the opportunity to participate.
  
  Both of these options are overnight, summer camp style mission trips.

Lead Missionaries Needed
- Register to be a Lead Missionary
  How Love Begins Here works is that during the day, the teens go out in 'car groups' doing service in groups of 4, being led by an adult driver.
  
  If you are 25 years old or older, we invite you to join us on the mission field! It is a great experience to participate in with your teens, but even if you don't have children attending, we think it is a great experience!
  
  You, too, would be joining us on the overnight summer camp experience to live in community and go out with a group of 4 teens each day to an assigned worksite! Adults attend for free and also will get their gas reimbursed for the week!
Looking for Service Projects
- We're looking for service projects!
  Looking to Mother Teresa's example, Love Begins Here serves parishioners around the Diocese of Madison in small ways, but with great love.
  
  When we have a group of teens in our JPII Pastorate, July 13-18, we would love to serve you! There are many projects that we would love to do, but some examples are:
  weeding
  window washing
  painting/staining
  gardening
  cleaning out your garage
  helping you to prepare to move
  help with children
  
  Not only can this be of great service to you, but it is also a great experience for these teens.
